1.What the New EU Battery Regulation Means for Work Lights
From 2027,the new EU Battery Regulation requires many electronic devices with built-in batteries to allow battery removal and replacement.
For work lights sold in the EU market, this means the battery must be removable using common tools so that users can replace it and extend the product’s lifespan.
2. Daren Current Work Lights Already Meet the Requirement
Most of Daren current work lights already meet the removable battery requirement of the regulation. The housing can be opened with common tools, allowing users to remove the lithium battery easily. After replacing the battery, the product can be reassembled and continue to operate normally.

3. Next Generation: Tool-Free Removable Battery Design
To further align with the future EU requirements, Daren team have developed the first generation of work lights with a tool-free removable battery design.
This product will be showcased at the Canton Fair in April 2026. We warmly welcome you to visit Daren booth and experience it in person.

4. Future Plan: Rechargeable Lithium Batteries with Built-in Charging Port
Daren team is currently developing a standalone rechargeable lithium battery. The development is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026, and the product may debut at the Canton Fair in October 2026.

As EU battery regulations continue to evolve, removable battery design will become an industry standard.
